WTD 2025 Celebration: Inter-National Commercial and Agro-Tourism Investment conference holds Sept 26

Ahead of World Tourism Day (WTD) 2025 celebrations across the globe, Inter-National Commercial and Agro-Tourism Investment has stepped up plans for its annual tourism conference billed to hold on September 26, 2025 in Umuahia, in commemoration of WTD celebrated on September 27.

Speaking on this development, the Executive Director of the tourism – based organisation, Solomon O. Uwakwe, noted that this year’s conference is to consolidates on the gains of the conference over the years

‘‘We are delighted to announce that our socio-economic development/business support organisation, De Tourism world International has continued with the promotion of sustainable Tourism, Hospitality and Infrastructural development for 14 years and still counting, via training programmes and conferences,’’ he disclosed in a press statement.

Noting; ‘‘True to our commitment, we are pleased to invite all Tourism and Socio-economic development enthusiasts, students and the general public specially to our seventh networking and highly educative commercial/agro-tourism conference, this time, with the theme; Tourism: a viable tool for unlocking socio-economic growth, community prosperity and inclusive opportunities.’’

According to him, the one-day conference, which will hold at the “Aguiyi Ironsi Complex Hall, St Fimbars Road, Umuahia Abia State, ‘‘is in accordance with the World Tourism Month activities.’’

This is as he added that the conference is in conjunction with a startup non-government organization; Do GOOD Foundation for Widows and Needy, which will  provide on the spot blood pressure analysis and sugar level test to all the conference attendees and first aid back up during the event.

The main feature of the conference, Uwakwe stated is discussions on the socio-economic growth, commercial/agro-business activities, micro-tourism investment opportunities, community development/welfare, skill acquisition training, health/stress management, security as aid to tourism, hospitality business analysis and award presentations.

Some of the listed speakers include; Professor Wasiu Babalola, Prof. (Mrs) Blessing Enemuo, Dr supriya Sharma, Dr Annika Sorrensen, Dr Azubuike M.A, Elke Dens, and Elsie Oji.

‘‘To create unforgettable memories and immersive experiences, there will be an after-event outdoor recreational activity in Umuahia for interested attendees Saturday, September 27,’’ added Uwakwe.
