Sports Tourism: ATPN commends Abia elevation of Made-in-Aba products to boost economy

The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), South East Zone, has commended Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, commitment to the development of sports tourism, with focus on Made-in-Aba products to boost the state economy.

Speaking on this development, the Vice President, South East, ATPN, Ambassador Onyekachi Aluoma Loveday, known as Ada Abia, expressed excitement over the development, noting, APTN is thrilled to highlight Abia State’s innovative approach to sports tourism.’’

 

She highlighted the Governor’s strides in sport tourism development, disclosing, ‘‘Governor Alex C. Otti is championing locally-made sports products, showcasing the state’s Aba Export Growth Lab, and planning a FIFA-standard stadium.

‘‘This initiative not only boosts sports development but also promotes tourism in Abia State. We congratulate Otti on this visionary move and recognise the potential for sports tourism growth in the region.

Lauding this development and the opportunities that the Governor is creating through focus on sports infrastructure and promoting the use of local equipment, said, ‘‘ATPN South East is proud to share this exciting development with our audience. We look forward to seeing the impact of these initiatives on Abia State’s sports tourism sector.’’
