Seychelles Election Fallout: Lalyans Nouvo Sesel reiterates commitment to national interest, unity, peace, progress

Following the outcomes of Seychelles September 2025 election, Lalyans Nouvo Sesel, as part of its review of the process and the development in the country, has restated its commitment to the unity, peace and progress of the country, urging its members to stay focus and committed to the ideals of the organisation.

This charge to its members were contained in the latest press statement from the group, which reads in full: ‘‘Lalyans Nouvo Sesel was founded on the principles of unity, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. Although we were not successful in forming our own government, we fully respect our members’ rights in their individual decisions and remain steadfast in our commitment to serving Seychelles.

We believe that through this collaborative approach, we can continue to make a meaningful impact for the betterment of our Nation. In light of these considerations, Lalyans Nouvo Sesel reaffirms its commitment to always place national interest above partisan concerns. At the same time, we recognize and respect that every Seychellois and all our party members have the right to make their own political choices in this second round of the presidential election which is a statement that echoed in all our electoral campaign. While we share our analysis and concerns with the public, we fully respect the individual decisions of all citizens.

Our aim remains to foster national unity, constructive dialogue, and solutions that safeguard the wellbeing of our people and the prosperity of our nation. Lalyans Nouvo Sesel will continue to engage responsibly in the political process, advocating for a stronger, fairer, and more united Seychelles.’’
