DETAILS BELOW Members of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) have arrived in Turkey on a business mission that is aimed at strengthening business ties with the officials of the Turkish Airlines, trade partners and other businesses. The team, which was led by its National President, Mr Yinka Folami based on the invitation of Turkish Airline, has since begun talks on areas of mutual benefits to both organisations and countries, with focus on facilitating new trade relationships between the airline and NANTA, improvement airline’s robust presence as first choice of Nigerian passengers. Talks will also be on discovering new areas of partnership between the two organisations, particularly in areas of opening new streams of income for NANTA members. Speaking on the trip, Folami noted, “This is a relationship made for the future, carefully curated to make the Nigerian travel trade market strong and robust. ‘‘We are here to listen and learn. It is an opportunity that we cannot toy with because it is a huge investment in our future by Turkish Airlines, and we hope our other principals will emulate this transformative milestone.’’ Folami further stated that the meeting with Turkish Airline is very timely and clearly shows that the airline is very concerned about the growth of Nigeria’s travel trade professionals. According to him, ‘‘NANTA is here to learn, to share ideas on mutual prosperity and to support a principal (Turkish Airline).’’ Others members on NANTA’s team include; Mrs Chinyere Umeasiegbu – First Deputy President; Dr Dagunduro Olatokunbo – Second Deputy President; Mr Yinka Ladipo – National Financial Secretary; Mrs Adelola Adewole – National Publicity Secretary; Mr. Johnson Ugochukwu – National Internal Auditor; Mrs Kemabonta Uloma Ibiwari – Vice President, Abuja Zone; Mr Yinka Olapade – Vice President, Lagos Zone; and Mr Mohammad Nasir Chamo – Vice President, Northern Zone.
