Lalyans Nouvo Sesel has ahead of the Seychelles’ Presidential election slated for September 27, 2025, held its first-ever national convention. The major highlight of the convention held at the STC Conference Centre, Victoria, was the unveiling of its candidates for the forthcoming elections.
Its Presidential candidate, Alain St Ange alongside his running mate, Daniella Payet, were formally unveiled and endorse for the race.
Also unveiled and endorsed formally were its 26 candidates for the National Assembly election, each representing every district across the country. The candidates are of diverse backgrounds, professions and experiences cutting across public and private endeavours.
St Ange noted at the event, “Our country doesn’t need more empty promises or ego-driven power games. We need leadership that delivers, listens, and puts Seychellois first — always.”
While the Vice Presidential candidate, Payet added, “This movement didn’t rise from privilege or political favour. It rose from the people — from frustration, from hope, from the determination to build a fairer Seychelles.”
The convention also saw the official launch of the party’s manifesto, which lays out a clear and actionable plan focused on justice, transparency, and national pride. It includes the creation of a Presidential Oversight Committee, urgent reforms to pension inequalities, and protections against the exploitation of Seychelles’ resources.
